What Makes Limestone Special?

The answer is simple – we have:

Go to This is Limestone for learn about our property, the fishing, and much more.

Our quarries and ponds provide challenges for the most avid angler with areas that allow novices to learn and improve their skills. Limestone has something for all ages. Leave your waders home and those with limited mobility have easy access to great fishing. Trails around the property provide access to more challenging areas and a pleasant diversion for the non-fisher. The clubhouse is a gathering place for anglers and visitors alike and our cottage provides overnight accommodation for members and their guests.

A note on wildlife. Canaan is a rural community and wild animals are in the area and on the property. This may be owls, herons, eagles, deer, skunk, fox etc., including bears. The population of bears in CT has grown over time and you may encounter them at Limestone. See Living with Black Bears .

Celebrating Our 67th Year

Limestone Trout Club offers a unique fly-fishing experience in a scenic 80+ acre property located in the Town of North Canaan, Connecticut. It is a private, members only club – not open to the general public.

Within the reclaimed Limestone quarries is a well-groomed property suited for the needs of fly fishers’ varied abilities. Challenging, but accessible to those with limited mobility, you will find stillwater fishing is challenging!

The club features six unique ponds full of trout, a beautiful landscape, friendly members, and on-site management. Non-fishing family members and guests will find a comfortable clubhouse where you read a book, take a walk on miles of trails around the ponds, or simply sit on the porch and take it easy.

See the North Canaan Weather page for forecasts and radar.
