Cottage

An additional attraction to Limestone is a lakeside cottage on Cedar. Rustic yet comfortable inside with a screened porch in front and huge deck in back with a picnic table and grill. The cottage is available April through November and may be reserved by members for overnight stays for up to six.

The furniture is comfortable furniture and the beds are soft. All you need to bring are sheets and towels. The rocking chairs in the screened in porch are a perfect place to sit and watch/listen to the fish jump in the evening. Whether or not you use the grills or cook inside, the kitchen has everything  needed to prepare delicious meals – food not included, but a supermarket is just three miles away.

If you prefer to leave the cooking to someone else, there are several good restaurants close by with everything from comfort food to pizza to haute cuisine. The cottage is self-service and members are responsible for leaving it clean for the next guest party.

The cottage has free internet access (WiFi is available in the cottage and clubhouse).  Passwords are available on the sign in/checkout sheet.

We have no cable service but there is no shortage of activities to fill the non-fishing hours. Bring a movie for the DVD/tv, read a good book, go to the Infinity Music Hall & Bistro or local Great Falls Brewing Co., or simply spend the evening enjoying good conversation with friends around the firepit.   During the day, if you are not fishing you might visit one of our local CT vineyards  –  Land of Nod, or another vineyard on the CT Wine Trial, like Hopkins Vineyard.  There are many antique and thrift stores in the area and a trip to Kent, CT or Great Barrington, MA is always fun.

While pet friendly, we do ask that you keep you animal leashed when outside so they don’t interfere with others who may be hunting for that big trout.  Also, some extra clean up may be needed when your pet is invited.
