The 2024 Annual Stockholder’s Meeting will take place on Saturday, October 5th and be held under the pole barn next to Cedar Pond. Let’s not forget that an exclusive lunch will be prepared by member Mark Boardman and his crew ($25/each). This year there will be raw and charred oysters available so be sure you sign up for this treat.
On the business side, there will be short discussion from the Finance, Membership and Buildings and Grounds committees as well as our current club president, Eric Hutchison. Find out about our scheduled work on the clubhouse so that it remains part of our beautiful property’s key assets.
For shareholders only, there is proxy voting for you this year. Non-shareholders, like trial and family members, can not vote on proxy matters. The Board of Directors (BoD) has nominated Laury Gay and Ed Morgana to join the BoD. While the board encourages you to approve these nominated members, you can nominate any shareholder member, even yourself, to be on the BoD.
Each Board member commits to serving a 3 year term with a maximum of 3 consecutive terms. This commitment to help in decision making, either on the board or as a member of a committee, allows any member to contribute their ideas. Diversity of though and bringing your background allows the club to keep running for the enjoyment of all.
There will be a sweepstakes event where shareholders in good standing (i.e. fully paid in the current year) can purchase ($50/each) the chance to win an annual membership for the 2025 year. The drawing will be held during the shareholder meeting, but you do not have to be present to win. Please reach out to Finance committee member, Glenn Ratcliffe, for details on how to participate.
